Hai Beautiful!

Fu*k, it’s already June!

Another half a year almost gone and for once in my life, I’m not surprised. I think quarantine has gone to my head and convinced me that time has moved quicker because I pulled my diary out and realised I hadn’t actually been locked inside that long.

 

TWO BOOK TBR!

This month, I want to honour Pride but also catch up with some series that I’ve been putting off. Both of these series have bisexual protagonists.

Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff
The protagonist of this novel, Mia, is canonically bisexual, taking lovers of both the female and male gender. Although in the novel, Mia has little care for labels on her sexuality, the fact has been confirmed by the author.

Aurora Burning by Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman
Told in multiple perspectives, switching between each character in Squad 312, this series has one bisexual character who is absolutely goofy, loveable and so hopelessly in love! His name is Finian de Seel and I love him, but not as much as I love Kaliis.

From my TBR, you probably think I enjoy pain? I don’t. Nor do I enjoy having my heart broken by caring for fictional characters but Amie and Jay love to write books that cause pain and I love reading their writing.

I posted on my IG story and those who follow me on Instagram (@thebookishbree) helped me pick which book I will be reading first out of the two! A whopping 90% of the votes told me I should read:

AURORA RISING!

Agh I am so excited to read these. If you’ve been on the book side of the internet at all, you’ll know how much heartbreak these books have caused the readers and look, I’m not excited to cry but AGH!!!
