It’s been 7 Months!?
Today, I want to give you all a little update on how the story is going, chat about some music I’ve been listening to and maybe grab any questions you have down in the comments!
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but this will be the first-ever full novel I will have completed in my entire life (as far as I can remember).
For some reason, I have the worst habit of starting a project and then putting it off after a while, moving onto another one, then abanding that one to partially continue the previous one and repeating the cycle.
This isn’t only related to writing. It’s for just about everything from musical instruments, sports hobbies, journaling and everything in between.
Word Count Update!
I’m OVER 65,000 words in
Reaching the end of the story!!!!!
I work with the entire story planned out before me chapter by chapter. I just wrote the start of chapter twenty-four which is written in another character’s perspective and I am in love with it!
So far this week, I’ve written 5,000 words and I plan to reach chapter twenty-six but around same time next week! So check back in here next Wednesday for some more writing chatter.
I know a lot of people have a dedicated writing playlist. I don’t. I guess I just listen to the same songs over and over again, so my ‘writing music’ is just the same old stuff I’ve been listening to over and over. Usually, something I can zone out to & a nice bop!
Here are a some (newer) albums/ songs I’ve been listening to:
Wake Up Sunshine – All Time Low
The songs on this album are the definition of Pop-Rock and are an absolute bop! I swear, this is probably my most listened to album of the year and I know all the lyrics to every song.
Miss You – Louis Tomlinson
I always go back to my roots. The 1D members will always have my attention that’s for sure. I stumbled upon this song just today as I was choosing songs to listen to and I totally forgot how much I adored Louis’ voice *heart eyes*
After Midnight – Set It Off
I am a huge Set It Off fan and will literally consume every song and play it on repeat! Their music is so easy to get into and just outright catchy.
S.L.U.T – Bea Miller
Lastly, S.U.T by Bea Miller. I’m not a huge fan of this album but this song is so unlike what you’d expect from its title. It’s such a fun bop and a fun empowering tune to rock out to.
I hope you enjoyed this post!
Let me know what music you listen to in the comments and be sure to drop any questions you have about my WIP in the comments and I’ll make the next post answering them xx
See you back here on Monday’s (book reviews), Wednesday’s (storytime/ writing updates) and Saturday’s (other bookish content).
