Festive Christmas Book Tag!

Festive Christmas Book Tag!

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

Yes it is that time of the week again where we pull another tag from the internet and plop it on the blog!

Aside though, I’m lying in bed and I sang out an intro song to this post, and it makes me really think how much YouTube I’ve been watching lately and how maybe unhealthy it is for my blogging…

Anyways back to the tag!

Today I will be doing the Festive Christmas Book Tag! Because it is never too early for some Christmas cheer! Also it’s December 2nd. This tag was created by GirlReading on YouTube.

♡ FESTIVE CHRISTMAS TAG QUESTIONS ♡

1) A fictional family you would like to spend Christmas dinner with?

Typical answer, but I’d chose the Weasley family! They would be the most welcoming and inclusive family and have an amazing lavish spread of food. I imagine they would have the traditional as well as food custom to their guest’s religion/ tradition.

2) A bookish item you would like to receive as a gift?

The ruby necklace that Magnus Bane gifts to Isabelle Lightwood in The Mortal Instuments series. I fell in love with this necklace immediately, and wanted to have it, though the only replicas are from the movie, which isn’t a proper representation of the necklace. How does one mess up a plain ruby necklace????

3) A fictional character you think would make a perfect Christmas elf?

I’m trying to think of the grouchiest character to make a cute Christmas elf, but all I can think of is Tiny Cooper’s 18th boyfriend Will Grayson from Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan. He is a little grouch but has a cute sweet side and I feel like that’ll make hi the perfect elf.

4) Match a book to it’s perfect Christmas song.

I would match the book/ anthology How They Met by David Levithan up with All I want for Christmas by Mariah Carey, because the stories were all very cute and everyone had a beautiful happy ending.

5) Bah Humbug. A book or fictional character you’ve been disappointed in and should be put on the naughty list?

Dang! I usually rate all the books I read, except I was quite disappointed with A Glittering Court by Richelle Mead. I did a review on this book a while ago and was quite disappointed by the storyline and most importantly the writing, and considering it is the first of her books I’ve read, it discourages me from reading any more of them.

6) A book or a fictional character you think deserves more love and appreciation and deserve to be put on the nice list?

OOOHHHH I can think of many characters for this; but my most favourite character of all time is Raphel Santiago who I believe deserves all the love and appreciation and is a character I do not see much fan-art of. His back story is so fascinating, as is the sheer dedication he has/d to his clan.

7) Red, Gold and Green. A book cover that has a wonderfully Christmasy feel to it.

This has to be the most festive book cover, for a non-festive book ever.

I love this cover for many reasons, but mostly because in person the cover is so shiny it is almost blinding – and tho it is almost impossible to take a photo of it for Instagram – it is brilliant for shinning in people’s eyes.

8) A book or series you love so much, you want everyone to find under their Christmas tree this year so they can read it and love it too?

EVERYONE SHOULD DEDICATE A GOOD PORTION OF THEIR LIVES TO READING THE SHADOWHUNTER SERIES BY CASSANDRA CLARE!! This includes short-story bind-ups and companion novels.

Or you can just stick to reading More Than This by Patrick Ness which is spectacularly life changing.

🎄

I hope you all enjoyed this tag. Have a lovely Christmas and come back here Monday for a (non-festive) book review.

.

Stay Happy, Healthy, and have a Lovely Week!!

.

Thank You so much for reading and I hope to see you all back here again Monday 🙂
