Ironheart by Jodi McAlister Book Launch!

Heyo Bookaholics!

Yesterday (9 Feb 2018), my mother and I went to the book launch of Ironheart by Jodi McAlister!

The event was held in Readings Kids, a kids/ young adult bookstore the opened up on Lygon Street in Carlton, Melbourne mid last year. It sits beside its older brother store Readings, which sells all the big kids books such as non-fiction and all genres other than kids and YA.

Popular Books To Read In The New Year

Popular Books To Read In The New Year

Welcome back Bookaholics!

I still cannot believe that Christmas is tomorrow! This year has been a rollercoaster for me, not just in school but aslo in trying to keep my blog up and running; but I can proudly come to the end of the year and say that I have accomplished much much more than I ever expected.

So I was watching YouTube one day – as one does to avoid doing anything productive – and I stumbled upon a video Kat from Katytastic made a while back about Popular books she hadn’t read, it was a funny coincidence because I was just thinking the same thing before I click onto the video. I watched it and nodded along with some of the books she had mentioned and felt what some would call ‘shame’.

I have now learnt that I am not alone in having not read many unpopular books, and other people have this problem as well, so don’t judge me when I say I haven’t read the following series;

Harry Potter Mini Reviews

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

Today I bring to you my first ever thoughts on the most talked about book series of all time in this week’s post:

Harry Potter Mini Reviews!

Quite sadly I have never ever read the Harry Potter series before this, but I have watched the movies a bagillion times and have heard spoilers upon spoilers about the content from the books that weren’t included in the movies.

So after completing my Harry Potter Book Collection I thought there’s no start the new semester (and the month of July) than to dive into the Wizarding World of Magic!

The Adjustment Anticipation Post

The Adjustment Anticipation Post

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

Just WOW! That’s all I can say for Suzanne Young’s most recent installment in The Program series, The Epidemic…

In my review of The Epidemic by Suzanne Young, I stated that The Epidemic was the second-last book in The Program series, which it isn’t. It is – from what I have found out on Goodreads – the second book in the third-last book that has been published in the series. There will be two more books to be published as the final installments in the series. These are; The Adjustment and The  Complication, and will both be from the point of view of a new character, Tatum, post fall of The Program.

The Adjustment is expected to be released on April 18th 2017 by Simon Pulse and is the third book (chronologically) in the series.

Initiate by Laura L. Fox | Spoiler-Free ARC Review

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

I have another review! Initiate is the second ARC I have read, received and reviewed on this blog. I was asked to review this book by the wonderful team at OfTomes Publishing Company and I would never have been able to read this book if the amazing Laura. L. Fox hadn’t written it, so I must thank her also.

.

DISCLAIMER: I was sent this book in ebook format from OfTomes in exchange for an honest review. This book is to be released on November 15th 2016 and is the first book in a series.

Goodreads Review

The only home Riga Garrison has ever known is the Tunnel, a subterranean research facility buried deep beneath Antarctica’s ice and snow.

Yet, while a safe haven for the last outpost of humanity governed by the Initiate, it is also home to a secret so dark that they will risk anything to protect it.

Surrounded by deceit and faced with exile to a frozen wasteland, Riga must defy not only the Initiate’s top biologists and loyalists but also her own mother, in an attempt to unearth the truth.

WHAT DID I JUST READ?!

giphy - The Epidemic by Suzanne Young | Review | *spoiler free*

Ever since I finished reading The Remedy – the third installment in The Program series – almost five months ago, I have been asking and quite literally begging (and bugging) the librarians at my school library to buy Suzanne Young’s newest release, and latest installment in The Program series; The Epidemic.
The Epidemic is the fifth installment in The Program series. So far, this series consists of four books and one ebook (which I read quite recently).

July Wrap-Up

The month of July was a crazy successful reading month!! I exceeded my average reading for the month and managed to knock out a whopping 6 books and half of 2 others! The books I read were (in order of finish dates); Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone ★★★★★ (5/5 stars) Harry Potter and…
