New Harry Potter Wizarding School + Sorting!

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

For the release of the Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them movie this year, Actress Evanna Lynch anounced the name of the North American wizarding school at a Pottermore Fan event in January this year. The names of the also released the names of the Brazilian, Japanese and Ugandan wizarding schools were also released at this event and are now available to read about on Pottermore.

In the past I have consulted the sorting hat and he told me that I am best suited to be in the house of Helga Hufflepuff and my partonus, as I also discovered is a is a Bassett Hound, which was pretty cool to discover as I’ve always likened myself to a dog.

My wand is super cool! It is Laurel wood with a Dragon heartstring core, 12 1/2″ and Solid flexibility. This is it below.

September/ October Wrap Up

September/ October Wrap Up

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

I am surprising even myself to say that I have kept up with my blogging schedule in these past few weeks. This exam period has been the absolute worst! I have had my ups and downs and with only one more exam to go, I am more stressed than ever especially because my last one if English Language. It is my most important exam and the one I am least prepared for, as I surprisingly hate English as a subject.

I have a lot of favourites in these past two months. I have accumulated some posts that I want to share with you all, books I enjoyed and books I bought, as well as a couple of announcements, one of which is Instagram related.

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

Today I bring to you my first ever thoughts on the most talked about book series of all time in this week’s post:

Harry Potter Mini Reviews!

Quite sadly I have never ever read the Harry Potter series before this, but I have watched the movies a bagillion times and have heard spoilers upon spoilers about the content from the books that weren’t included in the movies.

So after completing my Harry Potter Book Collection I thought there’s no start the new semester (and the month of July) than to dive into the Wizarding World of Magic!

The Adjustment Anticipation Post

The Adjustment Anticipation Post

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

Just WOW! That’s all I can say for Suzanne Young’s most recent installment in The Program series, The Epidemic…

In my review of The Epidemic by Suzanne Young, I stated that The Epidemic was the second-last book in The Program series, which it isn’t. It is – from what I have found out on Goodreads – the second book in the third-last book that has been published in the series. There will be two more books to be published as the final installments in the series. These are; The Adjustment and The  Complication, and will both be from the point of view of a new character, Tatum, post fall of The Program.

The Adjustment is expected to be released on April 18th 2017 by Simon Pulse and is the third book (chronologically) in the series.

Goodreads Review

The only home Riga Garrison has ever known is the Tunnel, a subterranean research facility buried deep beneath Antarctica’s ice and snow.

Yet, while a safe haven for the last outpost of humanity governed by the Initiate, it is also home to a secret so dark that they will risk anything to protect it.

Surrounded by deceit and faced with exile to a frozen wasteland, Riga must defy not only the Initiate’s top biologists and loyalists but also her own mother, in an attempt to unearth the truth.

 Hey Ho Bookaholics!

Today the theme is blue, because I have some amazing Gemina news to share with you!

Last night I went to the Victorian State Library to attend the Book Launch for Gemina by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman. I forced my dad to come along with me and he (surprisingly) enjoyed the event.

Goodreads Summary;

Can a beating heart bleed from the shattered pieces?

Her heart cracked when her best friend walked away; it completely shattered when she lost her family in a tragic accident.

Now orphaned at seventeen, Charlotte Peterson is forced to live with her former best friend, Jacob Parker. Charlie, a talented pianist, desperately wants their loving friendship back, but something is holding Jake back. The more she spirals into the darkness of depression, the more she needs him.

Jacob vowed to stay away from her—no matter how much he still loved her. Armed with secrets that would have destroyed both of their families, he chose to end their friendship and walk away, which nearly killed him. As he watches the girl he once knew begin to fade away, however, he realizes that their relationship is more important than the truth he’s hiding.

Now it’s up to Jacob to put the pieces of Charlie’s broken heart back together—even if it means revealing the secrets he so desperately wants to protect her from.
Will Jacob find a way to bring back the carefree, talented girl he once knew, or is it too late for both of them?

30264201 - The Lost Knight by Candy Atkins | Review

Goodreads Summary:

How am I supposed to save the world when I’m not strong, not brave, not smart, and not particularly good at most things? I ran away from home the day after my thirteenth birthday when Auntie and her weird friend attacked me. Now I’m on the run with the Grim Reaper and a scary soldier. And I’m no longer on Earth. They were expecting me to be a Knight. The savior that’s supposed to stop a war and prevent the invasion to Earth. But I’m not. They grabbed the wrong girl. I just don’t know how to tell them.

The Lost Knight Volume 1 by Candy Atkins, is great for fans of Harry Potter and Magnus Chase (I also believe Percy Jackson fans will enjoy this book).

Praise For The Lost Knight.

I read an ebook copy of this book and absolutely loved it and everything about it. I was able to relate to Agatha, despite me being almost 5 years older than her, as she was.

The length of the chapters were so perfect! They were long enough to be considered chapters but short enough to make me feel like I was breezing through the book.

I had so much fun reading this book, that I gave it a ★★★★☆ (4/5 stars) on Goodreads, and I would totally recommend it to anyone who wants a fun, dramaless, fantasy novel, where you can discover new and amazing world.

Welcome back Bookaholics! I absolutely love YouTube. My favourite videos to watch are silly make-up videos like this one from Wengie, where she does her make up entirely with lollies, and theories like this retelling of the Pixar Theory as told by the Super Carlin Brothers; but my all-time favourite videos to watch are BookTuber videos.…

I bought more Books!! (September edition)

Welcome back  Bookaholics!

This post, as the title suggests is going to be all about the books I purchased this September, and in the last few days of August, because I have somehow accumulated more than usual.

This is my second post in two days! Wow, you guys are lucky. I hope you all liked the Asgardian Book Tag I created for the upcoming Magnus Chase novel, which was posted yesterday. I would love if you all took the time to do the tag – or even just have a look through it. I’d also like to apologise for the weird timing of this post as it is deviating from my usual Monday posting time of 4:00. I hope you can forgive me. Now that my little babble is over, without further ado, let’s dive into my September Book Haul!
