Who are Jasper and Spice? Jasper and Spice is a blog and small business. It is run and fully customised by Brianna (otherwise known as Bree), the sole disaster-bi behind this website. Since 2016 this blog, and now shop, has been run from Brianna’s bedroom, lounge room, sometimes the office, and many cafes around Melbourne. Since we are based in Melbourne, Australia, shipping to countries outside of Australia will incur a small fee in order to cover any additional costs. Comments and reviews

Information may be captured through comments and reviews left on the Jasper and Spice blog and e-commerce shop. We have noted the data which WordPress collects by default and have included a statement from WordPress below.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Contact forms Jasper and Spice collect and monitor information that is submitted via the forms widget on the site. The data we capture includes your name, email and the content of your query. This data will be kept for as long as it takes to respond to the query, then the data will be deleted. Contact information provided with a query or comment will NOT be used for marketing purposes. Embedded content from other sites Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. Your contact and payment information We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store. We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. Access and Usage of Personal Data

How long do we retain your data? If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Rights we have over your data If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Where do we send your data? Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Who on our team has access to your data? As privacy and security are taken very seriously here at Jasper and Spice, all personal information provided to us is viewed and handled by the owner, creator and Admin, Brianna. People with Administrator access within Jasper and Spice can access:

• Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
• Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Administrators have access to this information to help fulfil orders, process refunds and support you. If there are any changes to the access structure, updates will be made accordingly.
