Hey Ho Bookaholics!
Two days ago I arrived home from an amazing two-week holiday in the cleanest city in the world, Singapore. In Singapore, my best friend and I went to the typical touristy attractions like Universal Studios, The Singapore Zoo, River Safari and Night Safari Attractions, Aquarium, Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N Exhibition, Marina Bay Sands, etc. and while all these were truly magical experiences, walking through the markets and shopping centres, just seeing what things Singapore had to offer that differed from Australia was quite fun. When you have lots of money on you and you’re walking around markets with super cheap items surrounding you, It’s kind of hard to resist.
The above items (excluding the shield and t-shirt) I purchased at two markets. The first market we went to was in Bugis, across from the Bugis shopping mall where I purchased the backpack and fluffy bunny key chain.
The second market we went to was on the famous Orchard Road and is located right next to the Grand Hyatt Hotel. There is a store there that sells genuine cheap – mostly pawned off – designer bags and purses. From there I purchased the purse in the top left-hand corner; and the make-up bag shown in the photo directly below.
Majority of the stalls at these markets are stocked mostly the same products for the same – or similar – prices in which all of the store owners could be haggled with. I managed to bargain a woman down $5 on an item which I am quite proud of.
At the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N Exhibition I purchased two very pricey t-shirts and an equally pricey replica shield keychain which was totally worth it!
OMG SOX!! So I saw these cute ass socks for $3 each and I had to buy them! Now I have cool sock Sunday socks hell yeah!
There was cheap perfume at a pop-up store in the shopping centre which was a massive score, and the sales rack at H&M had some really great items, of which I bought 3.
And I cannot truly go anywhere without purchasing books. What bookworm can?
I purchased Murakami’s 2-in-1 book, Wind/Pinball and The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan at a second-hand bookstore at one of the markets we went to and I was very excited by the buy.
Although The Infernal Devices series were only $3 less than Australia each book, I wanted to buy them and I did! A bookstore called Popular was in the mall downstairs to where we were staying and it took me a solid 4 days to finally go and check it out (and buy something). Oh, and they wrap their books in plastic!!! It’s amazing.

This has been a fun post to write up and take photos for. I hope you enjoyed looking through it and maybe learned a bit about where to shop in Singapore if you go and what attractions to visit.

Stay Happy, Healthy, and have a Lovely Week!!

Thank You so much for reading and I hope to see you all back here again Monday 🙂
