Starting off my year on a high note!
The 4th day of the #FinnFuryRevolution has me talking about the first book I read in 2019! The thing is, I am yet to start a book this year, but I do have a novel to finish before the end of Jan (not featured in my TBR). As I am nearly finished, we will be talking about both the first book I have finished and the first book started this January.
In December I started the novel Fierce Fragile Hearts by Sara Barnard. I never finished this book as I started it before Christmas and from Christmas to New Year’s I was going non-stop and had no time to read! I was sent this book from Macmillian Aus for a blog tour and am scheduled to post a review for this novel – plus an author interview – on February 12th 2019.
I only have 90 pages left of this novel which I am planning to finish tonight/ tomorrow on the train into the city, or maybe once again relaxing on the beach like I did yesterday 🙂
Imprison the Sky by A. C. Gaughen is the first book on my January TBR and I am going to read it once I finish the book mentioned above! This novel is the sequel to Reign The Earth by the same author, the second book in The Elementae series. I have a review for this book which you can read by clicking the link above and decide if you’d like to start this series and read along with me.
The second book in The Elementae series will be released on January 22, 2019, by Bloomsbury. I am so thankful for them to have sent this novel to me as I thoroughly enjoyed the first book and I cannot wait to fall off of the cliff that I was left on at the end.
I am so happy to know that I am starting my reading year the right way, with the right books! I am so grateful to both Bloomsbury and Macmillian Australia for these wonderful reads x
What is the first book you read in the New Year?
Or better yet, have you read more than one book this year already?!
With Love Bree xx
