Netflix Book Tag

Netflix Book Tag

Hey Ho Bookaholics!

I’ve been so good with my blog post schedule, it’s making me so happy and I come to you all with another post; this time a Book Tag!

Since the website I use to stream videos has stopped working for me I’ve been using Netflix for the first time, so it is only fitting that I have chosen to do the Netflix Book Tag. I found this tag on BookTube a while ago, then again on A Booklovers Playlist, where I found the questions. According to Keyleigh (A Booklovers Playlist), the origional video was made by A Darker Shade of Whitney and can be watched here.

1. Recently Watched
The last book you finished reading:

Lord Of Shadows by Cassandra Clare. I posted a non-spoiler review for this book on Monday which I am very proud of and I would love for you all to read it.
2. Top Picks
A book/books that have been recommended to you based on books you have previously read:

My friend Tracy – who was featured in my LOS review as ‘Paperback Rep’ – recommended I read Strange The Dreamer by Lani Taylor; partly because I was reading the Shadowhunter books, and partly because she was – and I quote – “so shattered by the book that [I] must read it”.
3. Recently Added
The last book you bought:

Damn lucky I went book shopping on Thursday before I enforced my strict spending budget (which will sadly not hold). I purchased two books that day, Release by Patrick Ness and Trials of Apollo Book 2 by Rick Riordan.
4. Popular on Netflix
Books that everyone knows about (series you’ve read and a series you have no interest in reading):

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare (duh!), I’ve read this series 3 times over and loved it even more every single time!
Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Mass is a series I – not so much have no interest in reading – I just don’t want to pick up the series because of all the hype over it has just put me off reading the books even though I know how amazing they must be.
5. Comedies
A funny book:

All the books I read aren’t full comedy but have their sarcastic and funny moments. But I found myself full out giggling while reading Magnus Chase and The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan. This book was equal parts comedy to action and it was a good balance.
6. Dramas
A character who is a drama queen/king:

Alec Lightwood is a drama queen! OMG I swear if anyone was a bigger drama queen than him when it came to thinking he was going to lose any chance at being with Jace, I would give the other persona gold medal. This is more the Alec we see in City of Bones, but he will always be a drama queen to me.
7. Animated
A book with cartoons on the cover:
Girl In Between by Anna Daniels is the only book I own with a cartoon style artwork on the cover. I haven’t read this one yet but I was sent it for review from Allen & Unwin.
8. Watch It Again
A book/book series that you want to re-read:

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare for the third (or fourth) time. Nuff said.
9. Documentaries
A non-fiction book you’d recommend to everyone:

I don’t think I’ve actually read through a non-fiction book (that I remember), though I would recommend everyone at least have a flick through Ed Sheeran’s Autobiography. It’s a beautiful green book with amazing drawings and a wonderful story about his rise to stardom.
10. Action and Adventure
An action packed book:

Nevernight!!! Jay Kristoff just manages to keep you hooked with this book, and in the parts where the level of action decreases you as the reader begin to feel more on edge; the feeling that something is coming is always there with this book, and until that thing comes you are left hooked hanging on to every word.
11. New Releases
A book that just came out or will be coming out soon that you can’t wait to read:

Magnus Chase and The Ship of The Dead by Rick Riordan comes out in October and I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy as soon as it is released!!
12. Max: Tag some people!!
I tag everyone and anyone who has read been so kind as to have read this post. Enjoy.

.

Stay Happy, Healthy, and have a Lovely Week!!

.

Thank You so much for reading and I hope to see you all back here Monday for another book review 🙂
