Book Recomendations from my Top 6 Album Picks!

Book Recomendations from my Top 6 Album Picks!

Heyo Bookaholics!

Wow! So last night was a wild one, hence the reason I’ve made the wise decision to postpone this post until today.

I want to talk about Spotify, and you must be thinking how does this relate to books?  Well, everything has a way of relating to books if you try hard enough. So today’s post is based on book recommendations for six of my most listened to artist/ albums on Spotify.

I felt like I was running dry on ideas until I received an email from Spotify not long ago with the following album set and I knew it. There’s no doubt I love music and I pretty much listen to the same artists over an over and finding new music is rare for me. I find comfort in the familiar lyrics and tunes.

Panic! At The Disco: These (this?) guy (guys?) are my all time favourite! The vocal range of God himself – Brendan Urie – is like listening to angels sing, and his two new singles are to die for!

Book Rec: A fun and loveable book is; I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman. I could read it for hours on end without putting it down, much like I could listen to P!ATD forever without end.

Set It Off – Cinematics: I’ve been loving Set It Off lately; I discovered them in my boyfriend’s rock playlist, really enjoyed their style, and decided to listen to all of their songs. Cinematics is an album with lots of teen angst sings as well as acoustic versions which are perfect to rock out and sing along to.

Book Rec: Set It Off’s album has the raw acoustic elements that remind me of the raw stripped back but enjoyable young adult book by John Green; Turtles All The Way Down.

Fall Out Boy – Mania: I listened to this on repeat when it came out because I became so obsessed with the party vibe of the songs and I was, of course, prepping for the concert which ever since I’ve had so much nostalgia when listening to their songs.

Book Rec: Mania is a wild ride – much like their concert – and so was Warcross by Maria Lu.

Maroon 5 – Singles: I think this album made it to my top six because I love Maroon 5’s more popular songs/ singles, and I’m not too fond of their album music.

Book Rec: Maroon 5’s music is full of love and heartbreak, and so is Storm and Grace by Kathryn Heyman.

Lorde – Melodrama: Man I love her voice. It’s really awesome how she isn’t followed and sexualised by the media, which leaves her voice and public image one to be determined based off of her music.

Book Rec: Her voice is so unique so much like the book The Wren Hunt by Mary Watson.

Death of A Bachelor Tour LIVE Album: There is really no other live album I can listen to and actually enjoy. The P!ATD live album is something magical; the unique way in which Brendan sings every song live is an experience I was so distraught I missed the opportunity to experience.

Book Rec: And of course this album is my favourite of the six, and the favourite of all the books I’ve read this year to date has to be Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett (review will be posted on June 4th).

Thank You so much for reading! I hope to see you all back here on Monday for another review 🙂
