What’s In My Book Depository Cart???

that the Disclaimer: This post is not at all sponsored by Book Depository, they offer an amazing service which I swear by, but I mostly just want all the books and I think you all need to know.

Heyo Bookaholics!!

I’m quite excited for this post and if all goes to plan you’ll see a follow-up post to this, but in today’s episode of ‘Bree Wants All The Books And Can’t Resist Shadowhunters’, we dive into my ever growing but never changing Book Depository cart.

https://www.bookdepository.com/?a_aid=jasperandspiceAs you may all know by now, Book Depository is an online bookstore based in the UK that sells books at a cheaper than RRP price and provides free shipping to countries worldwide. I’ve mentioned it before, but I do have an affiliate link to the site, which grants me a 5% commission for any sales made using my link: https://www.bookdepository.com/?a_aid=jasperandspice.

I have good reasons for choosing these books specifically to fill up my cart, and not some other random new release. These are typically books or editions of books I know I will never be able to find in an Australia bookstore; mainly because we do not stock many hardback editions of books, and if we do they’re typically 1.5-2 times the price of a paperback.

My Reasons:

The Shadowhunter’s Codex:
This book is almost a safe haven for me. I have a deep-rooted love for shadowhunters, and if you follow my blog or any social media you’ll know this; hence why over half the cart is unintentionally shadowhunters.
I remember reading this book and seemingly opening up a whole new understanding of the show realm. I was introduced to things as simple as the pronunciation of a word, to the images of runes, even the banter between Simon, Jace and Clary whilst each person owned it. I have wanted to own this book forever and just feel wholeheartedly like a Shadowhunter with my own training/ rule book.

The Fever Code:
I, unlike many people actually like the Maze Runner book series and when this book came out I ran to go get it in paperback and read it as soon as I could, but the only issue was that the paperback didn’t match the rest of my series and I was shattered, so this has been in my cart ever since.

The Mortal Instruments Boxed Set:
This one is pretty self-explanatory, but this box set contains the hardbacks of the original covers of The Mortal Instruments series and I NEED!

Queen of Air and Darkness:
To be released on December 4th, 2018, I have made an effort to preorder all the books in the Dark Artifices series so far and I ain’t stopping now! I’m so so keen for this book and I feel so powerful when I hold a shadowhunters hardback book in my hard. They’re so big and not to be mistaken for a brick.

More Than This:
Ever since I read this book I’ve recommended it to every woman and her dog. I am dumbstruck by how amazingly well written this book is, and how much it made me question life altogether. I loved the feel of the hardback when I read it, so that’s why it is in my cart. If you ever get the chance, please read this book I swear on my life you won’t be disappointed.

The Midnight Heir:
Now, this is a major impulse buy because it’s a special edition of a Bane Chronicles story and the cover is absolutely stunning!!! Nuff said.

I am not including The Mortal Instuments Graphic Novel in my justifications because I’m still iffy as to whether I am going to purchase it or not (tell me your thoughts in the comments below.

The following is my cart as it stands:

And shamefully, the total as calculated without any discounts:

A little hint: I find that if you leave something in your cart for a prolonged period of time, especially if it is in excess of $100, the company tend to send out 10% discount codes to persuade you to purchase the goods. I’m sure it happens with other sites and not just this one, so keep that in mind when considering your next purchase.

Stay Happy, Healthy, and have a Lovely Week!!

.

Thank You so much for reading! I hope to see you all back here on Monday for another review 🙂

BREE XOXO
