Managing Blogging and Uni in 2018

Heyo Bookaholics!

Anyone who reads these posts, or follows my blog will know that I am horrible at either posting on time, or completing posts before they are scheduled to be posted, which sadly means I am caught out with posts going up on my blog empty of content.

This annoys me more than anything and I have decided to do something about it and stick to it!

post separator 1 - Managing Blogging and Uni in 2018

What I Expect From Uni This Year:

As of the 2nd of Jan, I started the Summer Semester of my second year at University and it is already crazy! The short six week term has thrown at me two assignments already and we all know how fast time passes when we have assignments due. So because of this, and learning from last year, I can assume that I won’t have much free time to read and I will be expecting to work on my assignments every day pretty much through to when Uni stops in July, so I can hand each of them in prior to their due date.

Goals For Uni 2018:

I plan to have better time management and consult with teachers regarding assignments which means I must complete assignments prior to their due date to submit them even partially for a draft review.

I also plan to reach an average overall grade of 70% at the end of each semester this year, to keep a consistant mark, and if I follow my above goal I can achieve this.

What I Expect From My Blog This Year:

There are 3 main things I want to achieve in 2018 in regards to my blog:

  • Triple my blog following and obtain a follower interaction, say more people commenting on my posts.
  • I want to go premium. This is because of all the good features they offer, and the fact that I plan to put more time into blogging this year.
  • I want to begin monetising my blog.

The last goal might sound like I started blogging for money, but it isn’t. I didn’t even think of money at the beginning, all I wanted was to read books and share my opinions with people, in turn bettering my communication and writing skills.

After two years (though not a long time), I thought that as a uni student and someone who enjoys creating this content, I should find a way to do make money off of what I love.

What I learnt from Blogging in 2017 to help me in 2018:

I learnt that there are a sh*t-ton of ways to promote and not one way works the best, it is a combination of all methods of social media, bribery, and word-of-mouth that brings people to your blog, and I want to experiment with all three in the new year.

I also am now truly understanding the time management is absolutely key to success in a blog that is made for enjoyment both my own and others. To keep bringing you quality content every few days, I hope to better my time management and give you what you all desire!

Feedback – The Readers Choice!

As always, I want to hear from you guys as the readers of these posts, what content you want to see in 2018 and beyond because I really do this for the enjoyment of other people. I take and post photos on Instagram, and write a bunch of reviews for the pure enjoyment of you guys, the views and readers.

So please please let me know in the comments below, what kind of content you would like to see on this blog that will bring you joy and happiness!

Stay Happy, Healthy, and have a Lovely Week!!

  1. Hey I just thought I’d let you know that this post didn’t show up with any content in WordPress or on a regular browsing screen on the internet, but your other posts do xx

    • All good, sometimes my scheduled posts go up before I write something. It’s kinda embarasing but I’ve fixed it and won’t make the same mistake in the future. 🙂
