My Biggest Reading Month and My Smallest Haul!!

My Biggest Reading Month and My Smallest Haul!!

Heyo Bookaholics!

T’was Norse Mythology Month!

For all my Australian readers, I’d like to start off by congratulating the West Coast Eagles who won the AFL Grand Final game that was played today. My team was eliminated in the semis (which was expected this year) and I am so so so happy that Collingwood didn’t win (#sorrynotsorry).

I had the best reading month this September! It was so accomplished to finish one book after another, reading constantly every day was so enjoyable, I want that feeling every single day ever. Strangely, I am even more delighted to have read more books than I purchased; and what’s better, I bought 3 books for the price of less than one of them at RRP!

If you want to see me speak about these books, give mini-reviews and stare at the pretty covers; you can check out the video I posted on my channel by clicking this link or on the video at the bottom of this post!

Books I Read

I read the four following books in September! Double my usual monthly average of two books.

You can check out the reviews for two of the full-length novels on my blog by following the links to the posts you’d like to read (hopefully all of them).

I did not and will not be writing a review for the book I Had Such Friends by Meg Gatland-Vaness; the following image that was posted on my Instagram explains why.

Books I Acquired

I wasn’t going to buy any books this month but something happened… Oops!

I went back to The Book Grocer in the CBD near my work and purchased 3 books for $20. Essentially, I got the US copy of Magnus Chase and The Ship of The Dead by Rick Riordan in hardback, Touch by David J. Linden in hardback, and The 2am Principal by John Levy in paperback, for the price of less than one standard paperback. Paperbacks in Australia cost an average of $17-$22, and hardbacks average $25-$30.

My Favourite Book I Acquired This Month!

Tales of Norse Mythology (Illustrated Edition) by M. A. Guerber was purchased for me by my boyfriend and I cannot be more excited to have this amazing hardback tome in my hands! It sits proudly on my shelf for now but I will get to reading it and discussing the stories and Gods with my Instagram and YouTube friend Warren who is equally as interested in the Norse Gods.

Wrap-Up Video on My Channel (Jasper and Spice)

Lastly, here is the video where I pretty much just talk about all of this in an equally excited manner!
